Big Sandy Conference

this april was our first year attending the annual ATI family conference in big sandy, texas. we left after church on easter to drive 18 hours and arrive sometime on tuesday. between the few stops we made and dad’s speeding (he did receive a ticket while in texas!) we made it to the campus on monday evening.

Mochi Day

since my dad’s side of the family is japanese, traditionally, the day after Christmas, we all gather to make mochi (a doughy ball made from rice). the japanese believe it to be “good luck” for the new year, but we just have fun gathering together again!
